Homecoming
Homecoming Week!!
Homecoming game if Friday against Huffman Falcons! Tomorrow we will black out the Falcons by wearing all black or white with our sunglasses and Friday is Spirit Day wear your school colors and root the Trojans on to victory Friday night at 7:30!

Welcome to Team Patrick 2013-2014!
I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning with all of you. I remember many of you from second grade and look forward to seeing how much you have all grown and matured over the last two years.
The first six weeks you will have an awesome teacher filling in while I am at home with the new baby. Ms. Johnson is very knowledgeable and expects your best everyday, all day. Ms. Johnson retired from teaching just two years ago. She taught fourth grade reading prior to her retirement so you are in great hands. We will be in constant contact throughout the time I will be out, so when I return it will be a smooth transition.
For those of you who do not know me, I have been teaching here in Coldspring for seven years. Last year I moved to fourth grade from second grade. I enjoy what I do very much. I have three children and one on the way as I type this bio. Two of my children are in Lincoln Junior High and I have one beginning kindergarten.(sniff, sniff) I know how busy it can get as a parent. There will be a class website as well as this blog to help keep you informed of events that are happening in the classroom. I will also have a remind 101 system set up which will text you classroom reminders after you sign up. The directions for these reminders are on the right side bar of this blog.
Our class blog is public and from time to time I will post A+ work and pictures of events and classroom happenings. Please comment on postings! All comments have to be approved by me first, this avoids any "outside", or inappropriate comments. During the second semester students will participate in Quadblogging. Quadblogging connects our classroom to other classrooms across the country and sometimes even out of the country. This allows our students to explore other places and see how kids in other places live as well as what they are studying in school. We will be matched up with a class of the same age.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. While I am out I will check my email as often as the little one will allow. Thank you in advance for your support and again I am looking forward to a successful year!
